News Corp. Threatens To Disable YouTube Links

Telepathy

According to sources at The Wall Street Journal, News Corp. is reportedly considering disabling all links toYouTube logo YouTube videos on Myspace. A little mad? News Corp. tried to buy YouTube and was told it wasn’t for sale. Now Google owns it. This is a great example of how News Corp. doesn’t understand the essence of social networking and how it’s about giving the power usage back to the people. Not only is this a good way to decrease your membership, but it clearly displays that lack of connection that News Corp. has with its Myspace users. These people spend countless hours updating their pages with YouTube videos of graduations, skateboarding tricks and careless pranks on top of the widgets and plugins from various third parties. A mass update like this would cause utter chaos and would probably disuade future, younger members from signing up. So come on News Corp, relax, book a day at the spa and curl up on the couch to a good book like, “Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies.
