I started digital-telepathy 8 years ago with $5,000 in savings and one dream in mind – freedom. Freedom of thought and creativity, freedom from business tradition and most of all, freedom of answering to anyone. I figured, “Why not? I can always get another job if this fails.” One of my first actions as my own boss was setting my own holidays. I’ve always been moved by the powerful words, limitless faith and subtle actions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. that yielded such incalculable results. His approach to solving problems, uniting people and fighting for equality and has been a source of inspiration and guidance for my own perspective on leadership. So today is a holiday for dt in respect to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream and all of our own dreams.
We work with a lot of startups. Most of them run by entrepreneurs following their own dreams. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to go to work everyday and help other amazing people accomplish their dreams. Some of the startups are wildly successful while others fizzle and die. I can’t honestly say that any of them are failures. Our clients are all successful in following their dreams, learning their limitations and managing the possibilties of the future.
We have made sure that our entire team has the freedom to choose their own career path within dt, participate in any aspect of the business and take ownership in the work they perform. If they have a dream, we encourage them to pursue it, within dt or not. This support is without boundaries and is what drives us to be the best at what we do.
By following the dream of dt , I learned that failure while pursuing your dreams is a greater success than the failure to pursue your dreams at all. So if you have a dream, get after it. Remember, you can always go back to what you were doing before.
