User Interface Designer

Basic Function:

On a daily basis you will work closely with the Creative Director, Strategists and Designers on multiple projects. We are looking for someone who is a self starter, creative, and who is driven by functional design. And because you will be participating in the design of multiple projects at a time, it is important that you are organized, versatile, and can multitask. In addition to working with the creative team, you will also work with the Web Standards and Technologies Specialists, Project Manager, Marketing Specialists and clients at various times throughout the project phases.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing creative input as part of the web strategy of the project
• Concepting and designing site structure, site navigation, and user interfaces with wireframes and flowcharts and page layout designs
• Working closely with the development team to design pragmatic page layouts
• Working with clients as a point of contact
• Working internally to improve our service offerings

Required Competencies:

• 2-4 years of experience designing websites with an emphasis on the user interface
• Understanding of modern web design principles, typography, and color theory
• Knowledge of user experience design principles and implementation
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Bonus Competencies:

• Experience hand coding front-end web pages using XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Knowledge of W3C Standard (XHTML Strict), Section 508 and DDA standards
• Illustration experience
• 3D animation experience
• Knowledge of website prototyping software
