CropMom had all of the makings for a successful business: market demand, a great entrepreneur at the helm, a unique concept and users - but there weren't enough free users converting into paid accounts. The site allows for unlimited free content generation and sharing by its users, but requires purchasing credits for high-resolution downloads (for print). There were additional challenges of retaining new users and encouraging them to keep creating with the CropMom system.
Our Solution
User interface design suited to traditional non-digital users.
CropMom revolutionizes the traditional scrapbooking model with online ease and convenience. dt redesigned the user interface to clarify the options and promote the purchase of high-resolution "print credits." By making the gallery and user home page interfaces more elegant and intuitive, we were able to create and maintain a higher level of user engagement. The addition of lightbox overlays and an updated design for the credit purchase process also greatly increased conversions.
The Results
We met the challenges of CropMom.com head on. By analyzing the User Interface of the site and providing strategically-supported high-performance design, we were able to create significant results.
